Organizing your files and folder in Mac has never been easier. Using labels, you can assign the level of importance to your files. After organizing them with labels, you can directly sort them by importance.
To label with file menu is easy. First, you open a Finder window and select a file or folder. Then you click on File and go down to click a color under Color Label to change the color of the file. The file is now labeled with the color that you specified.
An easier way to color label is with a contextual menu. Open a Finder window and select a file or folder. Then you Control+click the file or folder. A contextual menu appears, where under the Color Label, you can choose the color to represent the file you choose.
Not too long ago I came across a freeware app. called Hey Folders! that actually changed the entire folder image to the specified color as opposed to just the label. However when I checked the current build logs at the time there were some reports of problems with intel macs. Has anyone using an Intel Mac know anything about its current compatibility or use it at all?
