No file created from Acrobat Reader - 01-03-2007, 12:05 PM

I have a document in Acxrobat Reader format with a lot of scripts and fields. Once I'm finished filling it out (which takes over half an hour) I want to 'print to PDF' so I can take the final version to a print shop for high-quality copying. (I don't need to make changes in the final version.)

Acrobat Reader seems to have disabled the "Save as PDF" button. I was hoping that SupaPDF would let me "print" and get the PDF file that way, but it isn't creating any files. Other applications (like Safari) _are_ creating files -- but with them I can just "Save as PDF" without needing SupaPDF at all.

Is SupaPDF the right tool for this? If not, do you know of one?

Hi EtherFlyer,
I just tested it with Adobe Reader 8 and I managed to SupaPDF print without any glitches.

Are you sure SupaPDF is installed properly? Have you tried printing to SupaPDF from another app?

I could print from Safari, so I assume it was installed OK.

Do you have only Reader, or do you also have Professional/Standard/Essentials? Apparently they install some drivers that aren't available with the plain Reader installer...

In general the reader won't create files or allow you to modify them. You need the full program from Adobe $100 to do that. --gk
