SlapBook for VirtueDesktops - 05-26-2006, 03:40 AM

Version 0.65 now available. Now much easier to use with Daniel@Tudra.net's wrapper code. (MacTel on Daniel! ) Corrected minor packaging error as well (Thanks Gritz!)

With all the buzz about the SmackBook hack on the internet, we thought it'd be cool to pull together something for VirtueDesktops - our preferred desktop manager for OS X.

Now that's one abUSER INTERFACE!

Download it here.

Digg it!!!!

Sensitivity - 05-27-2006, 10:38 PM

Got .4 to work on my 17" PB !!!!

If I set the sensitivity lower than 20 will it make any difference? I have to slap my PB a little harder than I would like to...

Looking forward to updates. Great job!

Has anyone managed to get the trunk (svn) of VirtueDesktops compiled?
If i understand it right, the slapbook code is already inside...

Thanks Sonicforce.

And yes, with v.4, you can lower the sensitivity to 10.

Version 0.4 works perfectly with my PB G4 1.67 15" running 10.4.6. The only problem is that I have to restart to get the motion sensor to work, as I do with level widget and amstracker, but that's Apple's fault. Great work, really well done.

Works great on my PowerBook G4 12" Messes up left and right now and again, but that's not a big problem.

Got one question though... How do I turn the voice off? It's annoying...

Simple... just open the /Library/Preferences/com.mactelchat.slapbookvirtue.plist file and set Quiet to 0.

There are only a few files that you need to remove.

- /Library/Preferences/com.mactelchat.slapbookvirtue
- /usr/bin/slapbookvirtue
- /Applications/SlapBook
