We are always being told to back up our stuff and I do the best I can, but have you ever tried to back up your iTunes. Have you ever tried to restore your iTunes after you thought you had backed it up. I have. I have a Pismo that I do all my experimenting on and I have yet to be happy with any attempt to back up iTunes. PodWorks is my answer to this lack of Geek in my backup abilities.
I bought PodWorks after reading other’s horror stories of software that did not deliver as promised. Stories of how if you do not get it right the first time there is no second time. I was desperate. My wife’s iMac G5 had that Gshock controller curse that filled up your hard drive so full that you couldn’t even empty the trash, and a total wipe was in her future. That was over a year ago. I have since used it to rescue my own iTunes Library when I did my first and overdue wipe of my dual 1 Gig tower. It just works.
I often post this sweet little program on message boards when that desperate post appears.
How do I save my iTunes?
Everybody has an oppinion you know. I am a loon with a Mac. This progam has worked for me ever time and it will work for you too. Yes it does playlist and metadata. Some geek always asks. What all that means is your playlists and ratings make the trip as well. It will even filter the playlist to show only the songs that are on the iPod and not in your iTunes library.
It’s FAQ page has 14 questions and answers on it and can be found here.
If you own an iPod, this is the best $8.00 you can spend on it.
