Walt Mossberg says Apple is working on phone and media center

Walt Mossberg can make or break a product and its no secret all the major consumer electronics companies are keenly aware of this.

In a previous life, I worked with a top consumer electronics company's press department. The PR guys just hanged on every word from the Walt and they went above and beyond to make sure their products get a favorable review in his Personal Technology column.

That being the case, he often gets an insider's view of what's coming down the pike.

In today's column, he casually mentions:
