Exclamation "End the Whine" on May 20 - 05-04-2006, 11:01 AM

If you're reading this, I'm sure you've heard of the two main issues MBP owners are encountering - whining and the excessive heat.

Our friends at OSX86Project.org are mounting an "End the Whine" day on May 20.

If you're a recent proud owner of an MBP (hopefully, with some help from our "How to rationalize your Mactel purchase to your spouse" worksheet), and you're experiencing these problems, please join us in letting Apple know that their lackadaisical attitude to the two issues is not appreciated.

Granted, I am still thrilled with my new MBP, but the uncharacteristic indifference from Apple can only be corrected by letting them plainly know that we "Feel Different".

End the whine!

I too will be calling in as a future customer. I don't want a hot potato on my lap, especially once I overclock the GPU! w00t

How the 17 inchers fare once they're released will also be telling.

If they don't have the whine/heat problems, then, its pretty much a tacit admission on Apple's part that it made a mistake on the first rev of MBPs.

I have a few updates!

First of all the whine. It has an official website now!

Also, if your MBP is still under warrentee then bring it into the nearest Apple Store or call Apple and they will fix the overheating problems for you! They will, if neccesary, re-apply the thermal grease which was causing the heat problems!
