Smile Apple introduces Boot Camp Windows XP software - 04-05-2006, 10:47 AM

Coming four days after its 30th anniversary, Apple ultimately came thru and delivered its belated birthday announcement. Boot Camp will allow MacTels to dual boot between OS X and Windows. More importantly, the public beta comes with Windows drivers that supports critical MacTels subsystems, obviating the need to hack third-party drivers.

At this point, Boot Camp doesn't provides drivers for Infrared Remote however.

Yippeeee!!!!

Installed Boot Camp on my Mini Duo last night and it worked like a charm.

For beta software, its amazingly polished, which leads me to believe Apple has been working on this for a while and not just as a reaction to the Windows on Mac contest three weeks ago.

I ran some benchmarks on it too and the results look good. Check the MacTellAll section later today for the goods
