According to the NY Times, the price difference between a Mac notebook and comparable full-featured PC notebooks has shrunk, injecting more competition in the market.

In one instance, Dell's XPS M1710 was actually 28% more expensive than Apple's MacBook Pro 17"!

I have noticed that too a few times especially when the mactels came out... More bang for your buck!
