Hey, maybe that's why the full-screen iPod was a no-show last month. It makes sense if Apple integrated a phone in the high-end iPod.

Another coup, if they do decide to do an iPhone, is to support open network support. In Europe and Asia, people actually buy phones separate from the network contract.

In that way, people can just move their SIM cards to the iPhone without breaking their existing contract.

And with all the other kewl iPod features, people wouldn't think twice to shell out the moolah to do so.

And dyanismith makes sense. Hope they do the iPhone as an evolved iPod and position it on the top of the iPod line.

Heh, did you see that Ballmer interview where he was poo-pooing the iPod as a temporary phenomenon, saying that multi-tasking phones will ultimately win the day.

Well, well. Wouldn't it make his day if Apple beats him to the punch and fulfills his prophecy

If that is the new iPod the main screen part would definately have to be thicker or else the price would be outragous with it being iPod AND iPhone...

But... we can dream, can't we?
