If I had chosen their free shipping, it would arrive even later. So it looks like there's a good chance I won't get the laptop in time to apply for the rebate! I'll have to get in touch with Amazon about this, but their customer service has been pretty bad in my experience. The last time I checked, they don't even publish their customer service phone number. (It's 800-201-7575 in case anyone else needs it.) |
Zee,
When we ordered our 1.83Ghz MBP last month, we were also given a pessimistic estimated shipping date. It arrived a few days earlier than the estimate and we opted for the free shipping as well.
Also, Amazon wasted no time renewing the rebates till May 30, with a postmark date of June 30, so you should be good even if Amazon only delivers per their estimate.
I dunno if you opted for the Amazon Visa promo, but in our case, we opened a new account, and got the $30 signup discount on the spot. The $50 in reward certificates came in about a week after we placed the order.
